LAHORE - One of the largest multi-brand fashion showcase ‘The exhibit’ the second edition was held yesterday at Cafe X2 in Gulberg. The exhibition by Sania Hasnain Ali and Alyzeh Rahim Sherazi was a runaway success like the first edition last year.
A larger number of designers and buyers were present whose number was more than 5000 people. The High-end exhibition was attended by who’s who of the fashion industry, socialites, models, bloggers and media.
Rida Sidra featured glamorous ensembles of traditional Asian colours, embroideries and craftsmanship. Furthermore, she took a daring step into introducing an unexplored area of fashion with a line of ‘Embroidered Chaddar’ in multiple colours and fabrics. After several exhibitions in Karachi, Dubai and Chicago and with an overwhelming response, she expanded the label and launched a collection of prêt wear and formals. Through the efforts made by designers, Pakistan’s fashion industry has now reached international standards, sufficient to expand bases abroad.
The exclusive showcasing was by Shamsha Hashwani, Farah Talib Aziz, Amrapali Jaipur, Prerto, Ali Javeri Jewelers, Boho, Magic Cosmetix, Arsazi, Maira Chinoy, Morri, Nadia Farooqui, Mariyam D. Rizwan, Arfah, Amen Jewellery, Blood Orange, Rida Sidra, Fit Fibre, Faiza Ahmed, Brocade, Cabaret By Foha, Myda Malik, Heritage Home, Mankon Jewels, Zehra Saleem, Ammar Shahid, Demesne, Zahra Naveed, Henna Mehndi, Charme by Aleena Raza, Nadia Baig, Samia Munir, Saima Taimur, Bastay, and Art by Shabir Baloch.
