Female journalist looted at gunpoint, house burgled

Islamabad: A lady journalist has been looted at gunpoint within the Saddar Barooni police jurisdiction, while two houses have been burgled within the Shalimar police jurisdiction.

Nasreen Khalid, a research employee of PTV, lodged a complaint with the local police that she was going to drop her father when three motorcyclist intercepted them, held them hostage at gunpoint and made off with Rs20,000 in cash, gold ornaments, cell phone and other valuables.

Mohammad Zafarullah, a resident of F-10/3, lodged a complaint with the local police that burglars made their way into his house made off with Rs30,000 in cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs1.8 million. According to complainant, he suspected that home servants Mohammad Tanveer and Abida bibi could be involved in the burglary.

Meanwhile, Syed Faizan, a resident of F-10/2, lodged a complaint with the local police that burglars made their way into his house and made off with Rs40,000 in cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs0.6 million. The complainant suspected that home servant Zahid bin Siddique could be involved in the incident. The police have registered cases and started investigations.
