Action to be taken against MPAs involved in horse-trading: Khattak

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that strict action would be taken against fourteen PTI MPAs who were involved in horse trading during Senate election, reported by Radio Pakistan.

Addressing a news conference in Peshawar, he said the list of fourteen candidates has been prepared.

Recently, ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif also said that his party will show its support to any action against those who are involved in horse trading in the recent Senate elections.

He negated the stance that his party has been involved in horse trading and regarded such actions as against the democratic rules. Nawaz Sharif said that after appearing before the accountability court and showed his full support against any action.

Earlier in the court, the hearing was conducted by Judge Bashir Ahmed.

The hearing was against the reference of Azizia Steel Mills and other main investments. Sharif was accompanied by son-in- law, Capt Safdar (retired) and Pervaiz Rasheed.

The judge of accountability court has asked for more time for completion of trail against the Sharif family from the Apex court. The trail is supposed to end by 13 March, 2018.
