LAHORE – Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahad Khan Cheema has converted the minor penalty of withholding of promotion for a period of three years into major penalty of forfeiture of past five years service of Mansha Bhatti, the then enforcement officer of the agency.
The officer was proceeded against under the Punjab Employees, Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006 on the charge of non-compliance of directions given to him by Director Estate Management (QAT) and Director Enforcement when the LDA property near Cine Star Cinema, Quaid-e-Azam Town, was to be vacated from illegal occupants.
The competent authority had awarded him minor penalty of withholding of promotion for a period of three years. He filed an appeal before the LDA director general against the aforementioned orders. The director general on hearing the accused and considering facts of the case decided to enhance the penalty.
Meanwhile, the LDA director administration has imposed a major penalty of compulsory retirement on Muhammad Aslam, Qanoongo, under section 4(b) (iv) of the Punjab Employees, Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006 on the charge of misconduct and corruption.
He was placed under suspension on January 30 and was directed to report in the Administration Directorate but he did not comply with the said orders and as per report of Project Director (IT), LDA, he kept dealing and working on property files with ulterior motives despite being suspended.
Also, Ahad Khan Cheema has ordered transfers of two officers. Omar Liaqat Randahawa, Assistant Director (General Cadre), currently working in the Directorate of Enforcement, LDA, has been transferred and posted in the Directorate of Land Development-I, LDA.
Muhammad Mansha Bhatti, Assistant Director (General Cadre), currently working as Deputy Director in Directorate of Land Development-I, LDA, has been transferred and posted as assistant director in the Directorate of Enforcement, LDA, vice Omar Liaqat Randahawa.
Meanwhile, the services of Abdul Aziz Mir, Tehsildar, currently working in the LDA as Land Acquisition Collector, have been surrendered to his parent departmental – Punjab Board of Revenue. Ahmad Alam Waseem, Land Acqusition Collector-I, LDA, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Land Acquisition Collector-II, LDA, in addition to his present assignments.
In connection with the construction of Metro Bus System by TEPA, LDA, relocation of LESCO services falling in the route alignment is scheduled to be carried out on Thursday (today).
Therefore, there will be shut down of electricity for the following feeder and areas and supply of electricity will remain suspended.
These areas include Mast Iqbal, Amer Sidhu, Shoukat Town, Ghazi Road, RA Bazaar, Gulistan Colony, Ismail Nagar, Model Town Society, Nawaz Sharif Colony, R and S Block of MODEL TOWN, Ittefaq Hospital, Bahar Colony, Peco Road, Laiqatabad and Industrial Area.
