A nine members delegation led by Dr. Farooq Sattar‚ Minister for Overseas Pakistanis called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in Islamabad on Thursday. During the meeting‚ the Prime Minister said that the leadership of MQM and Pakistan Peoples' Party enjoy good relations and are working in close cooperation. The meeting discussed in detail the progress on various mega projects in Karachi including Layari Express Way‚ Karachi Circular Railways‚ Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway‚ Karachi Water Supply projects and Karachi Mass Transit Schemes. The Prime Minister assured that the Federal Government would extend all possible assistance for these projects and it considers the development of Karachi as vital for the progress of Pakistan. Dr. Farooq Sattar requested the Prime Minister to inaugurate Layari Express Way in September this year which the Prime Minister accepted.
