US diplomats meet ANP senator

ISLAMABAD  - ANP Senator Haji Adeel Wednesday said the terrorism had seriously affected the development of KP. He was talking to the US Embassy Deputy Political Counsellor Rick Waters and Political/Economic Officer Juan Domerech-Clar. During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interests, terrorism and its impacts on the country, particularly KP, and government’s step to develop the province.
Referring to President Asif Ali Zardari’s announcement of introducing local government system in Fata, the senator said the step will improve governance of the tribal areas. Talking about loadshedding in the province, he said the KP had been facing electricity and gas loadshedding, though the province was the major producer of hydro electricity gas because it shares its production with other provinces. About the upcoming elections, the senator said without proper demarcation of constituencies and updated voter list, one cannot contest elections.
