ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to send a legal notice to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan seeking apology over the recent bashing.
PPP sources said Bilawal had decided to send a legal notice to the Interior Minister over the allegations levelled against him in the recent news conference in Islamabad.
Nisar had claimed the plane tickets of model Ayyan Ali and Bilawal were purchased from the same account. “One responsible person came to me and offered reconciliation with PPP if Ayyan Ali is released and Dr Asim Hussain is bailed out, which is not possible for me as an honest person,” Nisar maintained.
In response to these allegations, Bilawal directed the senior lawyers to prepare a legal notice against the Interior Minister. A party leader said Nisar must apologise over ‘baseless’ allegations or face legal action.
Meanwhile yesterday, Bilawal dissolved all the overseas organisations of the party. PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said the new organisational setup would be introduced soon.
“The PPP chairman has dissolved all the overseas organisations,” he said in a statement. The decision will relieve Senator Rehman Malik of his duties as the PPP overseas chapter President.
In April, the PPP chief had dissolved the party organisation in the four provinces handing over the responsibilities to the coordination committees until new office bearers were elected. Bilawal is also expected to bring a change in Azad Kashmir after the recent drubbing in the elections.
Presently the party is being run on interim basis by Raja Pervez Ashraf, Rana Farooq Ahmad Khan, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Chaudhry Manzoor and Nadeem Kaira in central Punjab. In South Punjab, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Shoukat Basra, Toochi Khan and Nawazish Ali Pirzada the members of the Coordination Committee. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the committee includes Senator Khanzada Khan, Hamayoon Khan, Noor Alam, Senator Rubina Khalid and Shujah Khan. For Sindh, the PPP chief had nominated Nisar Ahmed Khoro, Maula Buksh Chandio, Murad Ali Shah, Nafisa Shah and Rashid Rabbani. In Balochistan, the members are: Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hasni, Haji Madad Ali Jatak, Senator Sabir Baloch, Aijaz Baloch and Sardar Sirbuland Khan.
