ISLAMABAD - Team of Aabpara and Kohsar Police Stations on Wednesday arrested 30 suspects during search operations in their respective jurisdictions mainly in plazas, houses, parking areas, markets and under construction buildings. Following the directions of SSP Islamabad, Tahir Alam Khan, and SP City, Haroon Joya, SHO Kohsar Police Station, Mehr Munawar, and SHO Aabpara Police Station, Khalid Awan, along with police teams conducted search operation in G-6/2, G-6/1-2, G-6/4, Blue Area and various shops and houses. Teams of bomb disposal squad, police commandos, lady-police personnel also participated in this operation and search was also made by sniffer dogs where it was deemed necessary. Police team arrested 30 suspects during search operation in various plazas of Blue Area while flats and shops were checked by bomb disposal squads. SSP Islamabad Thair Alam Khan has said that this search operation would continue in coming days and complete combing would be made of sensitive as well as suspected areas. He said that it is the prime responsibility of the police in present law and order situation to remain vigilant and every possible effort would be made to ensure peace in the city. It has been also directed to owners of the houses, shops and flats not to stay any person there without informing the police as security has been on high alert for Muharram ul Haram.
