LPG prices up by Rs3.75/kg

LAHORE - The price of LPG has further been increased by Rs 3. 75 to Rs 128 per kg on Wednesday. LPG Distributors Association stated the prices has been increased due to the use of LPG by industry adding that industry was using LPG due to the stoppage of supply of gas by the SNGPL to industry. Vice-chairman of the association said that the price of 11.8 kg cylinder has been raised by Rs 81.The price of 11.8 kg cylinder was 1011 and now its price will be Rs 1,093 while the price of 45 kg has been increased by Rs 200. The 45 kg cylinder was available at Rs 4,700 now its price will be Rs4, 890. He said that Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Oil And Gas Development Authority (OGDCL) were giving LPG to the distributing companies at Rs 85,995 per ton but now they were giving LPG to the companies at Rs 93,132 per ton. He said that the prices were increased by Rs 7,000 per ton. He said that the one of the reason behind the increase in prices were low production by the producing companies. He said that that due to difference in demand and supply some distribution companies were involved in black marketing.
