TTP suspect remanded

KARACHI Judicial Magistrate (Malir) on Wednesday remanded a suspect allegedly linked with banned outfit of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), till December 18. The police produced the alleged militant Haji Rehman alias Qassai before Judicial Magistrate Aslam Sheikh seeking his physical remand. The trail court granted their request while directed to produce him in the next hearing. According to the prosecution, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) had arrested the suspect while conducted a raid at his hideout located in Suhrab Goth, while the police had claimed to have recovered huge cache of ammunition from their possession. The police had also claimed that during the initial interrogation course, the accused had confessed that he had involved in the CID office blast. The accused had also said to be admitted that he belonged to the Hafiz Saeed Orakzai group of Tehrik Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and he involved in attacking the law enforcement agencies in Orakzai Agency while they had also a plan to carry suicidal attack at Aashura procession and different congregations of the city. The police had also submitted that they had recovered big cache of ammunition including 10 kilogram explosive material, 3 detonators, 1 hand grenade, one role of detonating cover, a Kalashnikovs with 500 live bullets, while recovered a list of different religious personalities and maps of the different worship places.
