LAHORE A 35-year-old man, hailing from Charsadda, was gunned down by a relative in the name of 'honour in Lorri Adda police precincts on Thursday. The victim was identified as Ayaz Khan, a father of three children, worked as a labourer in food market. Police investigators said that the victim along with his family had been living in a rented house in Lorri Adda limits for the last several months. The widower of the victim Tanzeela told the police that around three days back a relative named Waqas came to her place and alleged that Ayaz had developed illicit relations with his mother and exchanged harsh words with each other. Waqas also threatened Ayaz for dire consequences and left the house. On the day of incident, Waqas and one unidentified person came to her house and opened indiscriminate firing on Ayaz, leaving him in the pool of blood. A senior police officer told this scribe that the deceased suffered multiple bullet injuries in his body. He, however, was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him as dead. Lorri Adda police reached the spot and shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy. The police have registered a case under Section 302 of PPC on the complaint of the widow against Waqas and one unidentified person. The police later also arrested the accused Waqas and started further interrogation. Later, relatives brought the body of the victim to their native city. Further investigations were underway. MAN GUNNED DOWN: A 32-year-old man was gunned down by unknown persons in Baghbanpura police limits on Thursday. The victim was identified as Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Misri Shah Police area. Police investigators said the victim was going somewhere on his motorbike but when he reached near Salamatpura Stand, two motorbike riders intercepted him. An eyewitness said that the accused men exchanged hot words with the victim and later sprayed a volley of bullets on him. The eyewitness said the victim died instantly. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy.
