OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Government College University (GCU) and University of Engineering and Technology (UET) qualified for the final of the Inter-Varsity Cricket Championship being organised under the aegis of University of Punjab here on Thursday. GCU defeated Punjab University by 32 runs in the first semi-final at PU Old Campus ground. GCU scored 304 runs in the allotted 40 overs. Irfan Zaman scored scintillating 134 runs and Abdul Wahab made 88 runs. Ahmad Ikram got two wickets. Punjab University succumbed to heavy target and restricted to 272/8 in the allotted quota of overs.
