Imran prefers one-on-one meeting with Munter, Raphael

ISLAMABAD - One time strong opponent of the United States who always remained busy in criticising the American policies, but now it seems, PTI chief Imran Khan has learnt lesson from countrys other top political heads that appeasing US is top of several other factors which leads to power. On Thursday, Imran held half-an-hour-long meeting with the US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter and former Ambassador Robin Raphael here at PTI central secretariat, where 'matters of mutual interest were also discussed beside others, stated a Press statement issued here from PTI central office. However, Imran preferred to hold this sitting alone barring old and time tested and concerned PTI office-bearers, including his own nominated spokesperson on foreign affairs, who wanted to join him on the occasion, as sources informed. 'Apparently Imran Khan has completely lost faith in his old and time-tested party leaders, that is evident to fact that he did not allow anyone even the concerned PTI office-bearers to join the deliberations with the Americans, commented a senior PTI leader wishing anonymity. That senior leader referring to Dr Shireen Mazari, PTI Vice President for Foreign and Security Policy, said that she was even not aware of the meeting with the Ambassador.
