Mush rally allowed

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Lahore High Court Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Thursday allowed All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) led by former president Gen (retired) Pervez Musharraf to hold its public meeting at Nasir Bagh on Dec 18. Former military ruler will address the public meeting through video conferencing. Lawyers Wing of the party through their counsel Malik Shafique filed a petition contending that the Punjab government was not allowing it to hold a public meeting at Lahore Nasir Bagh. During the course of hearing, Mr. Shafique argued that the party first sought permission to hold meeting in Mochi Gate ground but the government asked the party for Nasir Bagh. But, DCO held in abeyance partys application. He further argued the DCO was not allowing the application at the behest of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N). He contended that the act of the DCO was illegal and violation of fundamental rights protected by the Constitution of Pakistan.
