LAHORE – Army upset the reigning champions Islamabad Jinn’s 11-0 in a thrilling match at Islamabad home ground in F10 Rugby Stadium. The Servis Tyres Rugby Championship moved into the Premier League matches with all four Premier League teams in action over the weekend. The shutout by Army rugby teams showed the major improvement of rugby in Army. Scores of Army came from a try by Khalid. Army kept pressure on Islamabad which made the latter give away two penalties close to their goal line. Both penalties were converted by Fayaz Dogar to make it 11-0 for Army. In another match at DHA Rugby Stadium, DHA Wild Bears thrashed 12-0 AIT Rugby Club. In all, 12 teams are taking part in the super league, while six teams have already completed their matches in this years’ Servis Tyres Super 15 Championship.
