LAHORE - Although no strike was announced by lawyers’ bodies even then all the courts including the superior courts gave the deserted look owing to security reasons in connection with PTI shutdown call on Monday.

The lawyers did not appear in the courts and remained at their chambers or homes. The litigants faced problems as their cases were adjourned to next dates. The strike like situation was observed in all subordinate courts.

The judges of all the courts were remained present at their chambers. On other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Lawyers’ wing on Monday held a sit-in at GPO Chowk, sloganeering against the PML-N government for alleged rigging in general elections last year.

The lawyers continued sit-in all the day and delivered speeches against the government. They chanted slogans against PML-N leadership demanding impartial inspection of votes in disputed constituencies.

They said PTI was only the political party which could steer the country out of crises as the ruling party failed to serve the country and the nation. Loadshedding, inflation, unemployment and other soaring issues were leading the country toward devastation.

They urged the people especially youth to join PTI for better future of coming generations of the country, inspiring them toward change.
