ISLAMABAD: At least 1800 Afghan nationals have been deported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) under the National Action Plan.

AJK Law Minister Azhar Gillani told sources that around 3,100 Afghan nationals have been living illegally across the region, of them around 1,800 have been deported. He said that final notices have been served on the rest of those staying illegally and they will be deported by 31 December. He said that on request of the Afghan embassy in Islamabad, the date has been extended to December 31.
