LAHORE - Prime Minister of China Li Keqiang has vowed consistent help to Pakistan in transport and other sectors of development.

“China would continue to extend full cooperation to Pakistan in transport as well as in all sectors of progress and development,” Chinese PM told Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at a ceremony held in Zhengzhou yesterday. Li said that Lahore Orange Line Train is a gift of the Chinese government and the people to Pakistan.

Shahbaz apprised the Chinese PM of the details of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project, with the help of maps and pictures and the pace of work on the project.

Shahbaz informed that work on the project is in progress expeditiously and will be completed within two years. He said special attention is being paid to both the speed and standard of work.

“The people of Pakistan are grateful to the China and people for their historic cooperation and Pakistani government is utilising every penny of Chinese investment as a sacred trust,” the CM said. He said Lahore Orange Line Train is the beginning of a new phase of travelling experience in a modern, comfortable and secure manner and the people of Pakistan consider it as a living symbol of everlasting Pakistan-China friendship.
