LAHORE - A 25-year-old man was shot dead by two men on Tuesday in Factory Area.

Police identified the victim as Muhammad Shahbaz, a rickshaw driver.

Yesterday, Shahbaz was sitting outside his rented apartment located on the Millat Road in Factory Area police precincts when two gunmen appeared there on a two-wheeler. They opened straight fire at the man and fled instantly. The rickshaw driver died on the spot. Investigators are yet to ascertain motives behind the shooting.–Staff Reporter

The police have registered a murder case against unidentified gunmen on the complaint of Muhammad Lateef, brother of the deceased. No arrest has been made yet.

FOUND DEAD: A 65-year-old man was found dead from Sanda area on Tuesday morning.

Police said the man, unidentified so far, was lying dead alongside a footpath in Malik Park on Bund Road as they reached the spot. Some passersby spotted the body and contacted the police by phone.

The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Investigation is in process.
