ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday took notice of media reports about illegal occupation of land of the Quaid-e-Azam University.
According to a statement issued here, he directed the Islamabad administration for clearance of illegal land occupation and investigation of the case.
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has formed a committee in light of minister’s orders to probe the matter.
The Chief Commissioner’s Office notified the committee, which consisted of assistant commissioner, tehsildar and representatives of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and university.
No one would be allowed to illegally occupy an inch of land of the university, the minister added.
The interior minister himself is a former student of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU).
