LAHORE: On a petition pointing out substandard research work being carried out in the University of Health Sciences, the LHC sought a reply from the chancellor, who is also the provincial governor.

Dr Qaiser Rashid, the petitioner, alleged it was because of the substandard research that those who did MPhil from this university could not clear the entry test for PhD. He held the money being spent on the so-called research was going down the drain. The PhD degrees of the university were not accepted at the international level, he added.

The matter will now come up for hearing on Dec 22.–Staff Reporter
