COAS addressed the gathering at APS Peshawar, "We need to make Pakistan peaceful and an Islamic state. We can never and should never forget these children,” reported Waqt News.

“Earlier General Raheel Sharif had pictures of these children in his office and I too have their photos in my office, to remind me of our losses and keeps me determined in our fight against terrorism," said the Army Chief.

General Bajwa further said, "We need should never forget that these children are martyrs. We took various steps to help the families of these children. The siblings of APS martyrs are being provided with the best possible education in Pakistan."

"The Pakistan armed forces are working day and night to make Pakistan a better and safer place. Until and unless terrorism is not eliminated from the country Pak Army will not sit peacefully." he said while concluding his remarks.

Addressing the function, he said Pakistan will be made a peaceful country in accordance with the wishes of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Army chief said the country will be made an Islamic welfare state in accordance with the wishes of our forefathers. He said the entire Pakistani nation, security forces and other state institutions are standing shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved families. He said blood of every martyr student will be revenged.

He paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Army Public School. A large number of students and their parents attended the ceremony.
