Rawalpindi: The Special Anti Corruption Court Rawalpindi has rejected the interim bails of six accused allegedly involved in misappropriation of Rs 5.5 million on account of salaries and bogus recruitments of educators.

All the accused were arrested from the courtroom as the court has announced its judgment.

The Anti Corruption Police have registered a case against over 100 accused including Deputy Accounts Officer Abdul Shakoor, Farooq Ahmed Senior Auditor, Junior Auditors Raees Azam Muhammad Irshad and Muhammad Afzal and Tanveer Ahmed headmaster of Government High School Khayaban-e-Sir Syed on February 15, 2016, under sections 5/2/27, 468, 471, 420.

The accused in cooperation with education department had recruited bogus appointments on the post of educators and later did embezzlement of Rs 5.5 million on account of their salaries.

The six accused were on interim bails. On Saturday hearing, the court has rejected their interim bails.
It is worth mentioning here that over 100 accused were nominated in this case but despite passing the period of one and the half year, the police could not be arrested the remaining accused.

The Anti Corruption police said that raids are being conducted for the arrest of remaining accused nominated in this case.
