KARACHI - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday deplored PTI leader Jahangir Tareen’s disqualification, but pledged to accept Supreme Court decision against Tareen.

Imran was talking to the media men at Karachi Airport before departure to Tando Muhammad Khan.

PTI leaders Dr Arif Alvi, Imran Ismail, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Ali Zaidi and other were also present on the occasion.

PTI Chairman reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision thanked Allah Almighty for clearing him in disqualification case.

However, he deplored PTI leader Jahangir Tareen`s disqualification, terming him country`s highest tax-paying politician.

“I thank Allah Almighty for being cleared in the fake case filed against me by a drug dealer”, adding the people who propagated against Shaukat Khanum Hospital in the end failed in their plan.

He said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif through money laundering took about Rs 300 billion aboard.

He said that rulers were responsible for the current crisis in the country as they kept their corruption agenda on priority leaving behind the entire nation. It is regrettable that I was compared to Nawaz Sharif who is a corrupt man, he said.

I was a cricketer and brought halal money to country while Nawaz looted money from the country and transferred it aboard, he stated.

PTI chairman further said that, he gave 60 documents to the Supreme Court as evidence while the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif only submitted a single paper-Qatari letter in the apex court during the Panama Papers Case.

Talking about the disqualification of the Jahangir Tareen, Imran said that he is very sad about Tareen as highest tax paying politician of the country was disqualified.

Jahangir Tareen also cannot be compared to the ruling corrupt mafia of Sharif family and said that PTI would file a review petition in this regard.

Criticising National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over its role in Hudaibiya case, Imran accused NAB for facilitating Sharif family by presenting a very weak case to the judges.
