Nurses mark Christmas

Nursing staff of Lahore General Hospital arranged a ceremony relating to Christmas at Emergency Department on Friday. The staff distributed gifts and cut a Christmas cake. Speaking at the ceremony, Anwar Sultana said that the day was equally sacred for all Muslims. She expressed joy and happiness and solidarity with Christians. Medical Superintendent Dr Ghulam Sabir and senior and junior doctors participated in the ceremony. –Staff Reporter

UHS results

University of Health Sciences (UHS) declared the result of first professional BDS annual examination 2017 on Friday. A total of 930 candidates from 14 affiliated dental colleges appeared in the exam out of which 609 passed and 209 failed. The pass percentage remained 74.45. Mahnoor Zahra D/O Imran Ali of FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry, Lahore got first position securing 618/700 marks. Saba Nasir D/O Muhammad Nasir Abbasi of Dental Section, Faisalabad Medical University, Faisalabad and Zoha Nasir D/O Nasir Mehmood Sheikh of de'Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, got second and third positions, securing 598/700 and 596/700 marks respectively.
