FAISALABAD-First Women Entrepreneurs' Festival will be organised in University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on January 19,2018 to showcase their products, said Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI).

Addressing the Executive Committee meeting of FWCCI, its president Robina Amjad said that it will provide a unique opportunity to women entrepreneurs to introduce their products at the national level. She said that FWCCI has already started its activities. Many functions and awareness sessions had already been arranged. Similarly, traffic awareness session, workshop on women empowerment and seminar by State Bank of Pakistan are in the pipeline.

Regarding Women Entrepreneurs Festival, she said that FWCCI will fully contribute to make it productive and fruitful. She hoped that leading members of FWCCI will set up their stalls in the festival which will be visited by dignitaries from all over the country. She said that the office-bearers and Executive Committee members focus on enhancing the membership of the newly created trade body. It has been mandated to involve the Women Entrepreneurs in the national mainstream, she said.

Vice President Urwa Nabeel underlined the importance of making FWCCI financially strong so that it could initiate and organise various awareness sessions for the education and guidance of their members. She said that all executive members contribute at least Rs10,000 each so that it could organise its future programmes in a befitting manner.

Saniya Iftikhar delivered lecture on the preservation of fruit and vegetables in hygienic manners. She said that various items of human consumption could be preserved for a long duration by just applying simple scientific methods. Later, the vice president offered vote of thanks to the guests and executive committee members for their participants.
