LAHORE - Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) who sacrificed his life along with 72 members of his family and companions at Karbala on the 10th of Muharram in 60th Hijra for the cause of justice, truth and righteousness will be observed with due solemnity and reverence across the country on Monday (today). On the day the mourners will bring out 'Tazia', 'Zuljinnah' and 'Taboot' processions to mark the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala. Majalis-e-Aza will also be held to pay homage to great Hazrat Imam (RA). In the provincial metropolis the main procession of Tazia will be taken out from Haveli Alf Din, Hussainia Hall, Mochi Gate after Zohr prayer. The procession will march on its traditional route from Rang Mahal, Soha Bazaar, Bazaar Hakeem, Tehsil Bazaar, Bhatti Gate and converge outside Bhatti Chowk at Lower Mall from where it will end at Karbala Gamay Shah in the evening. Hundreds of mourners will accompany the procession and recite 'Nohas'. Before processions, Zakireen and Shia community leaders will throw light on the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) for the glory of Islam. The govt has made special security arrangements for the event. The district administration has ordered heavy deployment of the City Police and special forces squad at the route. The Rescue 1122 has also been put on high alert for providing first aid to the mourners. Eatables stalls and 'Sabeel' and other arrangements have also been made at the entire route.
