The Jirga between defunct Tahrik-e-Nifaz Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM) delegation and the NWFP government has kicked off at the Frontier House here in Peshawar. Defunct TNSM delegation headed by its Deputy Amir, Maulana Muhammad Alam is attending the Jirga chaired by NWFP Chief Minister, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, while from the NWFP government side Malakand six districts' leaders of all the political parties and elected representatives are attending, which included JUI (F) senator Sahebzada Khalid Mahmood Khan, ML-N's Pir Sabir Shah, provincial ministers, Sher Azam Khan Wazir, Mian Nisar gul, Rahimdad Khan, Syed Aqil Shah, Wajid Ali Khan, Ayub Ashari and others. People's party leader, Abdul Akbar Khan talking to the media said that the sharia system, which was the old demand of Swat people, would establish peace over there. He said that the Peace Jirga augured well and it would be taking people's representatives into confidence. Provincial Minister, Ayub Ashari told a private TV that the militants should be unarmed after the enforcement of shariat system in Malakand. The inking of accord with Sufi Muhammad would pave the way for restoring peace in Malakand Division.
