Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ijaz Butt has refuted reports that he sacked an official of the board on match-fixing charges. In an exclusive chat with a private TV channel, the PCB chairman said that a private news channel has launched a campaign against PCB and the report generated from that drive. Butt said no board official involved in any match-fixing incident neither any evidence to this effect has been provided. The PCB Chairman earlier informed Senate Standing Committee in a hearing that no board official has been involved in match-fixing moreover, the governing body of cricket ICC has introduced strict rules to curb it.
