ISLAMABAD In yet another violation of ceasefire, the Indian troops on the other side of Line of Control resorted to unprovoked firing at Buttal sector on the night falling between February 13 and 14, military sources informed on Monday. According to ISPR spokesman, Pakistan has lodged a protest over the incident and asked for holding a flag meeting to discuss the incident but no response has yet been received from the other side. The firing incident on Saturday night had raised many eyebrows in Pakistan since the two south Asian neighbours were already geared for February 25 meeting in a bid to resume their bilateral composite dialogue that had been suspended after terrorist attacks in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. Sources further informed that following the firing incident, Islamabad and New Delhi had established a hotline contact to keep the situation normal. They were of the view that Indian forces had made it a habit to blame Pakistan for incidents of cross-border firing time and again, but they had never provided any proof of such incidents during every flag meeting.
