The Lahore High Court election tribunal dismissed on Tuesday a petition challenging Pakistan Muslim LeagueN chief Nawaz Sharifs eligibility for contesting bye-election at NA-123 in Lahore, report said. The petition, filed by Shahid Orakzai, contended that Sharif has been a defaulter and also accused of attack on the Supreme Court. The counsel of Nawaz Sharif in his argument said former prime minister was not involved in attack on the apex court. Earlier today, the election tribunal comprised of Justice Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Nasir had reserved verdict of the case.
