SARGODHA - Returning Officer Arif Khan on Tuesday said here that the Election Commission of Pakistan cancelled 10,000 bogus votes from the lists pertaining to constituency PP-44 Mianwali while about 14,000 new voters have been registered.
The ECP has finalised arrangements for the by-election in constituency PP-44 of Mianwali District which will be held on February 25, 2012.
He also said that 145 polling stations and 358 polling booths would be established for 1,84,000 registered voters while 36 polling stations had been declared sensitive. It is to be noted that the seat fell vacant due to the demise of PML-N MPA Umair Hayat Khan Rokhri. About seven candidates are vying for the slot.
