Singing sensation Adele has backtracked on comments she made revealing she’s planning to take a break from music for “four or five years”, insisting she’s heading into a recording studio later this month.

The soul star, whose heartbreak songs won her six Grammy Awards on Sunday, is currently enjoying a new romance with Simon Konecki, and revealed in a magazine article she wants to take a break from her career in case working damages her love life. The singer also revealed she plans to use her break to gather material for her next album, the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed record 21.

She added, “I don’t want to be disposable. You’re only as good as your next record. I’m not scared of losing this. I won’t come out with new music until it’s better than 21.”             –OCU
