GUJRANWALA - Quality Assurance and Statistics of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Director General Zia Batool accompanied by Deputy Directors Nasir Shah and Munir Ahmad Wednesday visited GIFT University to develop better coordination between the University and HEC.

Zia Batool appreciated the academic facilities and quality of education being offered at the GIFT. The QAA team suggested various measures that the University could take to further improve its standards of education. The University management assured the team that the recommendations made by them would be implemented.

The QAA team also visited Roshni Homes Trust, a CSR initiative of GIFT University and the Credence Group. The Trust provides home, education and parental care to orphans. Roshni Homes is jointly funded by GIFT University and other entities of the Credence Group. The team highly praised the environment and facilities provided to the orphans at Roshni Homes Trust.

Property dealer looted: The robbers deprived a property dealer of Rs1.5 million in a broad daylight hit here on GT Road on Wednesday.

According to Sabzi Mandi Police, Rana Shahid withdrew Rs1,500,000 from a local bank and when reached GT Road on his way to Wazirabad, three armed car riders intercepted him and snatched money from him. Police have registered an FIR and started investigations.
