LAHORE – PTI Chairman Imran Khan has asked the federal government to call All Parties Conference for adopting a way to appoint the interim set-up for holding next general elections.
Addressing a press conference at his residence on the occasion of joining PML-Q leader and former federal minister Naurez Shakoor and other notables of different parties to PTI here on Wednesday, Imran Khan criticised the PML-N, PPP and other coalition partners for passing the 20th Amendment, saying his party would not allow anyone to act against the people’s will. He said the amendment had not been made for the people but it was a compromise of the PPP and PML-N to save their own interests.
Those who joined the PTI included PPP former MPA Raja Munawar Tareen, PML-Q former MPA Mahraja Tareen, PML-N former MPA Shaikh Muhammad Chuhan, Rana Mehboob, Sardar Nawaz Ali and others. Imran Khan welcomed those who joined the party vowing that PTI would fulfil the demands of people. He said Tehrik-e-Insaf became the most popular party of the country and it was a proof of its popularity that hundreds of political personalities across the country were jointing PTI. To a question, he rejected the news that PTI was in discussion with MQM to make coalition for next elections but he said they talks were ongoing with Jamaat-i-Islam.
