LAHORE – A petitioner moved the Lahore High Court against protesting doctors, seeking contempt proceedings against them.
In his petition, Muhammad Azhar Siddique appealed to the court to charge the protesters with contempt of court as the Supreme Court had taken suo moto action over the matter. Justice Umar Ata Banidal will take up the application today (Thursday).
Earlier, Muhammad Azhar Siddique filed a petition to investigate the numerous deaths of the patients in Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) and other hospitals, on which the Supreme Court is in suo moto proceedings.
