SARGODHA – Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt has said that the country is facing many challangs and the nation must rise above the petty and narrow interests to work for a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan. The air chief was adressing the Annual Parents Day gathering at the PAF Public School, Sargodha on Friday.

The air chief lauded the accedemic efforts of the institution and said: “Dear Sargodhians! You must keep yourself abreast of fast moving developments in the world. Take out time for studies, reflection and discussion. This will help you in developing your comprehension of the local and global society and culture along with your mental faculties.

“We are facing many challenges currently. We must rise above the petty and narrow interests and work with commitment for a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan. More than ever before, we now need to stick to the idea of Pakistan as envisaged by our great Quaid’.

The air chief distributed prises among students. Arslan Javed Kiyani was given Academic Colour for excellence in academics, while Mubashir Aftab was declared Sportsman of the Year. Mudassar Nazar secured prise for being in woodwork project and Zubair Mehmood was chosen Best Artist in Claymodelling. Yahya Salahuddin was declared Man of Letters while Malik Hassan and Wasi Haider received prises for being in music and in aeromodelling. Amir Islam received prise in science project, whereas Taj Mohammad was declared best calligrapher. Jamal Tahir earned prise for being the Quiz Master of the year, whereas Hafiz Ali Hassan the Best Qari of the Year award. Naimatullah was given the AOC, CAC Trophy for being the best graduating student. Starfighter House lifted the coveted Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for being the Champion House of the Year.
