CAD retrieves 5,426 acres of land from grabbers


BAHAWALPUR - The Cholistan Development Authority (CDA) has retrieved 5,426 acres of government land from grabbers in Cholistan. The CDA will be spent Rs400 million on rehabilitation of ponds and tobas and 5,000 acre of land has been reserved for the solar energy project.
CDA Managing Director Javed Akhtar Mehmood said this while talking to this scribe here the other day.
He said that two companies belonging to Germany and USA would be allotted land for solar energy project and 500 acre land would be allotted to each company.
He said that if the plan becomes successful then energy crisis in Punjab could be controlled.
He said that the Revenue record had been completely updated for the first time in the history of the CDA.
