KARACHI – Pakistan Coast Guards claimed to have seized huge quantity of foreign brand liquor from Pasni and Gwadar on Friday.

The PCG officials received credible information from the intelligence sources about the smuggling of liquor from Baloch Para Colony, Gwadar.

During search operation, the PCG officials spotted an unattended boat anchored near Gwadar Jetty. On detailed search, the PCG officials recovered 500 bottles of foreign brand liquor hidden in cavities of the boat. In another operation, after exchange of fire between Coast Guards mobile patrol and smugglers, PCG officials seized 3,000 tins of beer and 1000 bottles of foreign brand liquor from a Shahzore truck that was left behind by the smugglers near Shahdi Kaur (Pasni). Both the boat and Shahzore truck along with liquor and beer were taken into custody.
