KARACHI - Provincial Minister Mazoor Wassan has said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will not be part of coalition and sit on the opposition benches in future. Speaking to mediamen outside Sindh Assembly, Wassan said protest was a democratic right of MQM. The minister declined to comment on cases lodged against Lyari people, saying he was in Dubai when cases were registered.
He added that Lyari was a stronghold of PPP.
On the occasion, provincial Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani said, “It is time for general elections and not for the local body polls.
"MQM is a coalition partner and its reservations will be redressed," Durrani added.
