OKARA - A folk musical show was organised at the Okara Arts Council (OAC) in collaboration with Multan Arts Council to promote cultural activities. Folk singers from Multan enthralled the audience with their mesmerising performances.

The leading vocalists were Naeemul Hassan, Sobia Malik, Shumaila Mirza, Sabeen and Shaukar Saeedi. The artists entertained music buffs with their talent late into the night. Folk dance was the main feature of the show. Naeem Babloo stole the show with his floating, mellifluous voice and versatility.

Okara Arts Council Assistant Director Riaz Hamdani said: “The sheer support that we have managed to garner makes me feel confident and the festival has fulfilled its objective of providing a healthy entertainment to the citizens of Okara.”  He said  the arts council initiative had been instrumental in showcasing the tremendous musical talent that lies waiting to be tapped.
