MULTAN - The activists of Pakistan Seraiki Party (PSP) staged a sit-in at Chowk Nawan Shehr against Bahawalpur Janoobi Punjab province here on Friday. The sit-in was led by PSP chief Taj Muhammad Khan Langah and about 150 workers of the party participated in it. Holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands, the PSP workers shouted slogans against Punjab and federal governments and demanded immediate creation of Seraiki Province. The protesters also carried mock coffins of takht-e-Lahore and takht-e-Peshawar.

A brawl took place at the Chowk when the PSP activists and PML-N Youth Wing workers scuffled. The PML-N workers claimed that the participants of the sit in tore the posters of Mian Nawaz Sharif while the PSP workers claimed that the Leaguers attempted to sabotage their programme.
