Shaukatullah urges media to highlight social problems



PESHAWAR - KPK Governor, Engr Shaukatullah has said that press is the fourth pillar of the state and the eyes and ears of the society, therefore journalists need to interact with all individuals in the society and properly highlight the problems.
He said this while talking to a private TV at Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad. The governor said undisputedly media in today’s age has shape-up to be a bridge between the government and the society adding that tribal belt is fast coming into the main stream and soon the tribal belt will give a true national outlook.
His government believes in interacting with the people of tribal areas and would try to resolve their problems as expeditiously as possible, he said. He said that before, situations in the tribal belt were not normal but today it is not as bad as it used to be. We are going with a focussed approach to bring visible changes and all parliamentarians were being consulted to have a better future for the tribal people.    
Accessibility of the people of Fata to social sectors particularly health and education would be ensured and there will be a change when the people start getting access to justice and facilities being provided by the government. He called upon the media men to properly portray the government steps being taken to bring normalcy and durable peace in the tribal areas.
