SHEIKHUPURA - On the special direction of newly-appointed TMO Irfan Nawaz Memon, the P&C branch under the supervision of Map Branch In-charge Muzammal Ishtiaq is serving notices to dozens of commercial building owners who constructed their buildings on different roads of the city without paying TMA fee.

The TMA warned all the owners of the commercial building to deposit the TMA dues otherwise their building would be demolished.

Muzammal Ishtiaq disclosed that a large number of people of the city constructed their factories, plaza, shops and warehouse on different roads had defaulted on payment of map and commercialisation fees and failed to get NOC from the department concerned.

He said that in first phase, the TMA had issued notices to building owners and if they failed to comply with the directives then the TMA would demolish their buildings in the second phase.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of the District Price Control Committee (DPCC) held here on Friday.

EDO Health Dr Rafique, DHO Dr Fiaz Butt, DO Livestock Dr Tariq Mehmood, DFC Shaukat Ali, AC Dr Lubna Nazir, AC Baber Bashir, AC Samia Saleem and trader representatives attended the meeting.

He said that Special Price Magistrates would impose heavy fines and even register criminal cases against the violators of Essential Price Control Act.

They fixed price of all essential commodities including flour bag weighing 20-kg at Rs670 while pulses Chana Rs80-82 per kg, Masoor Rs80-94, dal mash Rs90-125, dal moong Rs85-110, basen Rs86 per-kg, sugar Rs51, rice super basmati Rs110 per-kg, mutton Rs430 per kg, beef Rs205 per-kg, red chilli Rs150 per-kg, milk Rs50 per-kg and yogurt Rs60 per-kg in the meeting.
