ATTOCK - Ambassador of Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Pakistan Nguyen Viet Hung has said that Vietnam and Pakistan have a long good diplomatic relationship since 1972.

He stated this while addressing local newsmen during visit to Attock chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) on Saturday. Visa councilor of Vietnam in Pakistan Phan-Y-Nhan, second secretary Thai-Duc-Khai and other business dignitaries, founder president of ACCI, Mirza Abdul Rehman, president Arshad Jameel, vice president Jabbar Ali, former presidents Dr Khalid Saeed Khan, Tariq Mehmood and Arif Rafique were also present on the occasion.

The Vietnamese envoy said that there is immense potential of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Vietnam. He invited the Pakistani businessmen to visit Vietnam in order to further develop bilateral trade relations.

Nhan thanked founder ACCI chairman Mirza Abdul Rehman for inviting them to visit ACCI, saying it was an honour for him personally to meet the ACCI members and other local businessmen.

In his welcome address, Mirza Abdul Rehman said that ACCI was established in 2006 and now membership had reached over 200. He said that ACCI is struggling to promote and develop business sector in the district. He urged upon the businessmen to visit Vietnam, China and others countries as there are very good business and trade opportunities. He also thanked the Vietnam Ambassador in Pakistan Nhan for visiting ACCI.

Later on, a lavish lunch was hosted by ACCI in the honour of ambassador and his others diplomats.
