ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has felicitated the nation, particularly the youth on the setting of a world record by making the largest human flag at Lahore on Saturday.

The Minister termed the new generation as an asset of the country and lauded the great passion and affection for the homeland, demonstrated by the youth. In the presence of such a committed and hardworking youth, the future of the country would be bright indeed, he added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated the nation for setting world record of making the largest human flag of the world at Youth Festival. He said that more than 29000 persons have brought a good name to the nation and the country by setting up a world record of human flag at National Hockey Stadium Lahore.  He said that the spirit of those making the biggest human flag of the world despite heavy rain is commendable. He said that Punjab Youth Festival has given a new identity to Pakistan regarding sports throughout the world. Shahbaz Sharif said that youth have been provided full opportunity of healthy activities through Youth festival.

He said that new talent is emerging through youth festival.
