LAHORE - Three-day national immunization (anti-polio) campaign will be launched in Punjab from Monday (today). Health Department has constituted 40,000 teams to administer polio drops to over 18 million children of up to 5 years of age. Special teams appointed on transactional points like bus terminals, Railway Stations, Motorways and Airport will administer polio drops to travelling children.
Schools refrained from
corporal punishment
Punjab Education Foundation has warned the schools partnering under foundation assisted school program to refrain from indulging in any act of corporal punishment. PEF also advised partners not to charge any money from the students. A notification issued by PEF Director says that not more than one chance would be given to schools and any repetition would lead to cancellation of partnership agreement.
Meanwhile, 15th quality assurance test will be held in Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Chiniot and Chakwal districts on Monday. 166 partner schools will take part in the test.
