Rawalpindi - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid of heroin smuggling abroad and held a foreigner at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport (BBIIAP), sources informed here on Sunday. The foreigner namely Chicovegkov Festo Odogo of Nigeria confessed before ANF of digesting 80 heroin filled capsules, sources said.

According to sources, the ANF staff was frisking the passengers who were boarding in a flight for Qatar when the suspicious movement of the foreigner caught their attention. The ANF staff took the passenger into custody and brought him to ANF counter where during investigation the passenger confessed of having 80 heroin filled capsules in his abdomen. The investigators later shifted the accused to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) for X-ray. The doctors recovered the heroin filled capsules, sources said.

An ANF investigator told media that the Nigerian man was trying to smuggle the heroin filled capsules to North Africa via Doha and Turkey. A case was registered against him, he informed.
