Petition against PTI chief dismissed

Lahore- The Lahore High Court (LHC) today, dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran.

The petitioner, Rana Ilmdin Ghazi, contended that the PTI chief concealed facts, while submitting his election papers to the Election Commission of Pakistan before 2013 general elections. He also said that Khan also lied to the people, while addressing public rallies in the recent past and he should be disqualified under article 62, 63 of the constitution. The court after preliminary hearing of the case dismissed the petition saying, the applicant was not the aggrieved party and the petition was not maintainable.
