QUETTA - At least two people were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a hotel in Quetta on Sunday.

According to details, miscreants opened fire at a hotel on Mastung Road as a result of which a man died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on way to hospital. Police said one of the deceased had been identified as Ghulam Sarwar.

Meanwhile, Frontier Corps Balochistan arrested four suspected terrorists in a raid at a house in Khodi Badam area of District Panjgur.

A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from them.

Meanwhile, Two people were injured in an incident of firing in Loni area of Loralai district on Sunday.

According to Levies Force, both victims were standing near their house when armed assailants riding a motorbike opened fire on them and fled from the scene. They received wounds and were rushed to nearby hospital for medical aid.

The identity of the victims could not be ascertained.

Levies Force, after registering a case, has started investigation.

2 ELECTRICITY TOWERS BLOWN UP

Unidentified men blew up two towers of high transmission lines on Sunday morning near Notal area of Nasirabad district, causing suspension of electricity to 20 districts of Balochistan including Quetta.

Police said unidentified men had attached improvise explosive devices (IEDs) with two 220 KV electricity pylons of high transmission line coming from Guddo Barrage which went off.

As a result, Quetta and 20 districts of Balochistan were deprived of electric supply after damage to power pylons.

However, law enforcement agency along with bomb disposal squad personnel defused 30 kg of improvised explosive devices planted near three 220 KV electricity pylons by miscreants.

The teams of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) reached the site and started repairing of damaged electricity pylons.
